Apartments in Sweden
In many ways, central Sweden – the sparsely populated provinces of Dalarna, Härjedalen, and Jämtland – encapsulates all that is most characteristic of the region. This vast land is essentially one large forest, interrupted only by the odd village or town. It is rural and sparsely populated, and it embodies the vision of Sweden that most people have: lakes, log cabins, pine forests, and wide-open skies. Until a few centuries ago, people worldwide lived in this type of setting, taking their lead from the people of these central lands and forests, who were the first to revolt against the Danes in the sixteenth century. Nature.house has got you covered as our state-of-the-art apartments in Sweden are loved by visitors, and you will get the best residence in Sarna, Gardso, and Furudul.
Nature
The vegetation varies from Alpine-Arctic in the north and upland areas to coniferous forests in the central region and deciduous trees in the south. Birch, aspen, beech elm, oak, and Norway spruce are all common trees. Birds such as black cock, woodcock, duck, partridge, swan, and many others are in abundance here. There is plenty of fish and insects to be found. There are at least 60 mammalian species, 259 bird species, and over 1,750 plant species in 2002.
The European hedgehog, European mole (only in the south), six shrew species, and eighteen bat species are among the many terrestrial mammals found in Sweden. Brown bears, Eurasian wolves, red foxes, and, in the mountains, Arctic foxes and Eurasian lynxes, European badgers, Eurasian otters, stoats, European polecats, European pine martens are abundantly found. Three types of seals live along the coast: harbor seals in the south and west ringed seals in the Gulf of Bothnia, and grey seals all over the region In Swedish waters, the porpoise is the only whale that breeds.
Activities
Dalarna, centered around Lake Siljan, is a breathtakingly beautiful – and picturesque area with a population dating back to the Middle Ages. Dalarna is the place to be around during the summer, particularly on Midsummer's Eve, when the entire region celebrates in a frenzy. With several routes available, some lasting a day and others several days, Grövelsjön fjällstation is an ideal base for a hiking adventure in the surrounding countryside.
The marked route from the fjällstation up to Storvätteshgnen, with spectacular views over the surrounding peaks and across the border into Norway, is one of the established day hikes. A worthwhile hike begins with a short walk from the fjällstation to Sjöstugan on Lake Grövelsjön, from where you can catch the morning boat to the lake's northern end. The 90km-long route from Sälen to Mora, traversed by skiers on the first Sunday in March during the annual Vasaloppet run, is equally rewarding to explore on foot. The path begins in Berga, just outside of Sälen, and peaks to Smgan before descending to Mora via Mngsbodarna, Risberg, Evertsberg, Oxberg, Hökberg, and Eldris. There are eleven apartments along the route in Sweden that are fitted with a stove and unmade beds. Nature.house being the custodian of these apartments, make sure that you get the best of the services in your vacations and make your tour a memorable one.
