The naturehouse is located adjacent to Le Bugue in the Dordogne (Perigord Noir). The atmospheric hut has a fenced private garden with a completely private swimming pool (12 by 6 meters). You can enjoy the breathtaking views over the Vezère valley from the various terraces in the garden. The authentic character was preserved while completely renovating the house back in 2014. It is well furnished and is equipped with all conveniences. The ruralhut originally used to be a shepherd’s house, built back in 1750, with thick walls and a heavy beamed ceiling. On the ground floor you have the cozy, well-equipped eat-in kitchen with fireplace/wood stove, living room, bathroom, toilet, and hall. The kitchen is equipped with a gas cooker with oven, a spacious fridge, and a dishwasher. Additionally you have a spacious dining table and a fireplace/wood stove. There’s crockery and cutlery available for up to eight people. There is a seating area with television in the living room. A WiFI and ADSL connection are also both available. The bathroom has a sink, shower, and washer and dryer. There are two double bedrooms (1x double bed, 2x single bed) on the first floor. In the garden you will also find a guest room (bedroom + bathroom/toilet) for two people. You rent the whole; the house, guest house, and swimming pool will be fully at your disposal and will not be used by others.

Le Buque is located besides the Vézère river, a tributary of the Dordogne river. There are various shops, including very large supermarkets (Intermarché, Lidl) in Le Buque. On Tuesday there is always a large market, where farmers around the area offer their products among other things. Markets are also found in all places in the area on different days of the week. During the summer there are many cozy dining markets (marché nocturne) and flea markets (brocantes) in the surrounding villages. Many of the buildings in these villages are characterized by the ‘Anton Pieck’ style. In addition, there are several delicious and cozy restaurants in the area, for both lunch and dinner. There are many possibilities for hiking at the Vézère for the sports enthusiasts. The holiday home is located directly on a hiking trail, you can choose hike trails between one hour to a full day, cycling trips are also a possibility, and there are golf courses in the area, both 9-hole and 18-hole. In case you are interested in castles, in the Dordogne region you will find about 1250: Chateau Castelnaud and Chateau are definitely worth a visit. Within walking distance of the ruralhut is the Bara-Bahau cave. You can find more caves in the immediate area. Interesting cities in the area: Perigeux (40 km), Sarlat (30 km), and Bergerac (40km).
