In the middle of a garden of five hectares, surrounded by woods, is where you will find this ruralhut: an old, completely restored farmhouse. This large ruralhut is suitable for two to six people, features a large partially covered private terrace, a large living room with sitting area including a TV, a dining area, two bedrooms, a separate extra sleeping area, a spacious fully equipped kitchen, a bathroom with bath and shower, a separate toilet, and a cozy wood burning stove for the colder days. The landlord would be more than happy to tell you about the wonderful Périgord Noir, and inform you of all the possibilities this area has to offer. You could for example cycle, hike, or visit the many beautiful towns, cities, bastides and hamlets, castles and churches, or other ancient sites. There are many music and theater festivals, concerts, outdoor shows, and markets everywhere in the surrounding area during the summer months. After a busy day of visiting the area, a stroll in the woods, looking for the famous Cêpes or other mushrooms, or after a canoeing or kayaking trip on the Dordogne, you can relax at the large swimming pool of 12x6 meters.
Nature and surroundings
The Dordogne is one of France’s most beautiful regions, and is characterized by its overwhelming nature and rich history: a region with hills and valleys, rustling forests, rugged rivers and whispering water streams, rough castles and bastides, prehistoric caves, medieval towns, and tranquil hamlets. The region especially attracts many tourists during July and August due to its excellent summer climate, though the area is also quite popular during the spring and autumn thanks to the beautiful nature and tranquility. There is much you can do in the Dordogne, such as wandering around the beautiful towns, hiking, riding a horse or mountain biking in the beautiful forests, cycling on the quiet roads with no traffic, golfing on one of the many beautiful courses, canoeing or kayaking on the Dordogne or the Vézère, or ballooning over the castles and the Dordogne. The Dordogne has a lot to offer to everyone terms of culture, history, and activities. The valley of the Vézère can be reached within an hour’s drive, with villages such as Les Eyzies and St. Leon sur Vézère, but also the cave houses of La Roque Saint-Christophe, and the prehistoric museum in les Eyzies.
