On the outer edge of a small park is this beautiful, new (2014) nature house in the middle of the Drents-Friese Wold, with unobstructed views and lots of privacy. The nature house has two bedrooms with twin beds and built-in closets. It also has two bathrooms/toilets, making it very suitable for two couples, for example. There is a large deck terrace and a large lawn, enclosed by forest, but open on the south side. Windows and doors fully equipped with mosquito nets. Garden furniture, parasol and washing machine can be found in the storage room. The cottage has central heating and a wood stove. Firewood is available. The kitchen (combination microwave, four-burner stove) has an extensive inventory. There is WiFi, a flat-screen television, a DVD player with movies, a bluetooth speaker, books and many games. There are four shopping bikes in the barn. Everything is ground level except the step up to the deck terrace. Unfortunately, the cottage is not wheelchair accessible.

The nature house stands on a spacious plot of almost 6000 m² and is ideal for those seeking peace and quiet and nature lovers. It is located in a small-scale park, without reception and/or swimming pool. There are swimming pools in Vledder, Dwingeloo and Havelte. The nearest is the Aekingermeer (Canadameer) near Appelscha, further, for example, the Spokeplas (Noordwolde) and the Blauwe Meer (Hoogersmilde). Fine supermarkets and stores can be found in Vledder at four kilometers and Diever at six (bicycle) and ten (car) kilometers away respectively. The area is particularly suitable for walking (forest, heath) and cycling. There are also many day trips to include Giethoorn, Emmen Zoo, dolmens in Borger/Havelte/Diever, Museum Village Orvelte, Drents Museum Assen, Veenkoloniënmuseum Veenhuizen and much more. Info is available in the cottage. There is hardly any traffic here and the nights are still dark with a beautiful starry sky. Deer and storks can often be seen from the nature house. There is a simple restaurant within walking distance and there are places to eat and snack in Vledder and Diever.
