The water mill is located on the foothills of the Serra da Estrela mountain range, between the towns of Oliveira do Hospital and Tabua. Next to the hamlet of Loureiro is the area of Quinta do Retiro. Part of this area is the site of our former, converted water mill. In addition to your stay, you can also enjoy hiking in nature, hiking in the mountains, horseback riding or swimming in one of the larger rivers nearby. (Alfa or the Mondeigo.) The nearby town of Oliveira do Hospital is excellent for shopping. Lidl, Intermarché and several other large supermarkets are available there. Oliveira do Hospital is about 15 car-minutes away from the Casa. Car and walking tours through the Serra are impressive and highly recommended.
