In a small, sleepy, medieval village on top of a hill, beautifully situated in the green hills of Umbria between Todi and Orvieto, one finds this ruralhut. In a beautifully converted old "borgo" the tenants rent two apartments, including this ruralhut. It is a comfortable cottage that can accommodate up to five adults. There is a bedroom with double bed and an extra single bed. In the living room is a comfortable sofa bed. The kitchen is equipped for six people. In front of the cottage you can enjoy beautiful views and beautifal sunsets on the private terrace. Sun loungers and umbrellas are set by the pool for relaxing afternoons with a cooling pool. Because the landlords feel comfortable when you can start your holiday relaxing and avoiding traffic jams, the changeover days in the high season are on Sundays. Outside the high season you can arrive on other days and if you want to stay for a few days instead of a whole week, thats possible.

On the large estate you can enjoy the scents of lavender and pine trees. The domain is planted with olive trees and fruit trees. Around you can enjoy the view over the Umbrian hills and the sound of the crickets. The aim of the landlords is to offer you a place where you can enjoy the quietness, nature and tranquility. From the village square, which you reach via the long driveway from the yard, well-marked hiking trails leave for example a small medieval chapel and the surrounding villages. Within a short distance one will find the Lago di Corbara, a large reservoir in which the water of the Tiber River is collected or a little further one will find the Trasimeno lake. With a 20 minutes drive, you can visit the medieval village of Todi with the Duomo and the beautiful Piazza del Popolo. A little further you will find Orvieto and Perguia, with the July Perugia Jazz Festival. You can also visit the Marmore waterfalls in the area or the Roman excavations in Carsulae. Not to be missed is the weekly "Happy hour" in the village house in the small village of Acqualoreto in five minutes on Wednesdays at 18:00. Do not be mistaken by the name: it's a small cozy gathering where the locals, Dutch, English, Australians and other Italian-life lovers who live here or spend their holidays here come together for a drink. On the grounds, the landlords allow you to enjoy the harvest from their own vegetable garden full of courgettes and tomatoes, and introduce you to the special taste of the zucchini/courgette flowers that you must have tried. They also love to share the eggs of the chickens and quails with you. Around the grounds there are plenty of blackberry bushes that you can pick as much as you would like.
