It is a modern apartment of almost 40 m², for one or two persons. The bright nature house still has the old-fashioned hallway of the former farmhouse and a modern, but very cozy split-level living room/dining kitchen with sofa, armchair and television. The kitchen is fully equipped. There is also a spacious, modern bathroom and a cozy bedroom in the basement with a 2p-bed of 1.40 x 2.00 meters. From the hall to the bedroom basement the staircase has four steps. From the living area, overlooking the garden, to the kitchen, the staircase has five steps. This nature house is in the middle of the National Landscape Winterswijk. It seems as if the coulisse landscape was invented here. Woods and forests, interspersed with fields and meadows, bordered by large wooded banks; many beautiful vistas. Scattered in that great landscape are many beautiful, old farms. Sometimes half hidden behind a wooded bank or among the trees. Sometimes pront and grandly displayed in the middle of the land. The history of the Scholte farmers and their tenants can be seen here in every fiber of the landscape and in the many stories. Unique to the Netherlands. You have countless quiet roads and paths at your disposal, often made of sand. Biking or hiking, long trips or shorter detours, from this nature house you are right in the middle of it.
