How much more Provençal can a vacation home be? In this mas (gentleman's farm) at Paradou (1 km), near Fontvieille (6 km) you can find out. The over 200 year old sycamore trees emphasize its historical character. The shutters are made of wood, the olive trees weren't bought at the garden centre and everything is kept as authentic as possible. Only the fenced pool with sun terrace and lounge chairs shows that the time of Alphonse Daudet is a thing of the past. You will have all the privacy and tranquility you need on the terrace, while you overlook your enormous grounds. Elegantly decorated, tasteful and equipped with exceptional details. In Fontvieille you will encounter the name of Alphonse Daudet, a French writer, everywhere and the village is proud of his statue and mill. Daudet did not exaggerate his love for the Provence, this becomes clear when exploring the surroundings. Get a taste of the genuine atmosphere in Arles (16 km), Salon-de-Provence (30 km), Avignon (35 km) and Nîmes (42 km). Use the small roads while travelling. The journey might be a bit longer, but en route you will have lots to enjoy. Vineyards and olive trees, lavender meadows and an unforgettable lunch at the bistro du Paradou, where Charles Aznavour has his own table.
