Less than an eight-hour drive from Utrecht is this delightful nature house with a unique view. It was built 160 years ago in Vaumery as a farmhouse. The nature house is completely adapted to the requirements of our time. Both from the house and from the various terraces you have a fantastic view of the valley and the hills of the Morvan Natural Park. In the evenings you can play a game of petanque on the petanque court in the accompanying forest. The living room has a sofa and armchairs. Near the dining table is a wood stove that will quickly heat the room if necessary. Thanks to the four patio doors, it is a bright room with magnificent views. The open kitchen is fully equipped, with dishwasher, oven and microwave. The stairs lead to the first floor with two bedrooms and a bathroom with toilet, shower, sink and washing machine. There is also a sitting area with TV (all Dutch channels) and DVD player. NB: The swimming pool is closed in October!

Vaumery is located in the Morvan natural park. The lovely hilly landscape is characterized by pastures enclosed by hedges, interspersed with patches of forest. The sheep and characteristic white cows complete the picture. From the house you can make endless walks. For cyclists, the western direction is ideal. The landscape there is slightly less hilly. To the east the Morvan becomes more rugged, with more forest. Vaumery is less than 10 minutes from the Lac de Pannecière, a beautiful reservoir. Stores and restaurants are also within 10 minutes. The Morvan (the size of the Veluwe) is a sparsely populated area, there are no traffic lights and they are not necessary given the low traffic. There is no industry, so the air is very clean. On cloudless nights, this produces starry skies that you never see in the Netherlands. There are plenty of villages and museums worth seeing for a varied vacation. The nature house is located on a very quiet road.
