Nature and surroundings
Zuna (Lower Saxon: Sunnoa) is a hamlet in the municipality of Wierden. It had 352 inhabitants on January 1, 2010. South of Zuna lies Rijssen. The industrial areas "Plaagslagen" and "De Mors" nowadays border the core of the hamlet. De Mors was previously a large swamp area near Zuna. Until 1811 Zuna belonged to the gericht Kedingen and was one of the so-called Rijssense quarters. In 1811 it became part of the municipality of Wierden. For a number of years Zuna had its own stop on the railroad Neede - Hellendoorn, west of the hamlet. This cache is one of a series consisting of 25 caches including bonus called " Sunnoa." The route runs through a characteristic area. The typical landscape associated with farmlands around the Regge and the new nature The Zunase heath is nicely portrayed on this route.
