The gite is a compact but cozy nature house in a more than 200-year-old stone pigeonnier (pigeon tower). On the ground floor is a small living kitchen with sitting area, dining table and kitchenette (two burner stove, refrigerator), with nice views of the surroundings and the idyllic sunken garden with swimming pool. The shower room with sink and toilet is also on the ground floor. On the second floor is the double bedroom and the sideboard with DVD player (stacks of DVDs are available). Barbecue, garden furniture (including sunbeds by the pool), hammocks and umbrellas are provided. There is also broadband WiFi in the house. The pool is almost private for guests. The landlords usually make an agreement with their guests that they themselves use the pool between, say, 5 and 7 p.m. and that the pool is exclusive to them the rest of the day. Dogs are welcome here, provided there is no threat of problems with the two dogs present. Therefore please discuss this.

The house is part of an 18th century farmhouse on a southern slope with beautiful views of the farmlands and wooded slopes. The landlords themselves live in the original house, which is some distance from the accommodation. The grounds (one hectare) consist of a garden, vegetable garden, meadow (where the donkeys Gipsy and Soleil live) and a piece of forest. The garden offers plenty of opportunities to sunbathe, but also to sit/lay under the large, old trees and unwind. There are some high hedges between the main house and the nature house that offer guests privacy. The pool is in a sunken and fenced garden at the foot of the accommodation. The region, Quercy Blanc, also called the Tuscany of France, is lovely, and virtually unspoiled. The houses are mostly of white stone with tuile roofs. Lauzerte is a beautiful, medieval bastide town about two kilometers away. It is just visible from the garden.
