Our cottage is a traditional Romanian house, built in 1850, made out of wood and cob. It is ideally located in a small village some 60 km from the city of Timisoara, in an area quite isolated, surrounded by nature and with lots of wildlife and opportunities to break from modern life. It is a traditional home, with wooden walls covered in cob, with a wooden ceiling. The house is cool in summer and warm in winter. We are currently doing restoration work at the house so many parts of the house/walls are unfinished. Conditions inside are specific to traditional peasant life, with very little of the modern improvements: there is no running water (you need to get it from a well), no inside bathroom (toilet is outside, so is the shower).
