A refreshment at chocolaterie Magdalena, or at farm Rietveld. A lunch or dinner at the Kitchen of Hackfort. Or on the bike to the IJssel river 4 km away and then another 4 km to Hanseatic city Zutphen, or to Doesburg, Almen, Ruurlo, Lochem, Deventer. For those who love castles, the estates around Vorden await, and in summer there is no finer swimming pool than in this Achterhoek town. Nearby hiking trails: Ockhorster walking route, Klompenkaerlspad, Trekvogelroute, Pieterpad. Beautiful cycling routes: The 8-castles route (40km) is the oldest signposted cycling route in the Netherlands. Or a bike ride along the IJssel to Deventer. Or to the beautiful old town of Bronckhorst. And every morning (wo-za) fresh bread at the local bakery in Wichmond.
