It is a beautiful dreamy area where peace, nature and farm life prevail. This very watery peat meadow area bordered by the rivers Lek, Nieuwe Maas, Hollandsche IJssel and the Vlist, is especially suitable for recreation, walking, cycling, canoeing and loved by bird watchers and fishermen. Nature trail De Zwarte Stern and nature reserve Loetbos are within walking distance. The area is an oasis of tranquility and natural beauty, picturesque villages like Haastrecht and Silver City Schoonhoven and all that in the middle of the Randstad!
