This naturehouse is located in our building, a former warehouse of the Domaines, has its own entrance and consists of a large, very high living space of approx. 65m2 with underfloor heating. The studio is suitable for 2 persons. A bed or cot can be added. The studio is suitable for those seeking tranquility, business people, bird watchers, cyclists and walkers. You can relax but also work quietly. The studio is furnished and equipped with a private shower and toilet, a simple kitchen with fridge and coffee maker. There is Wi-Fi and Netflix. 2 Bicycles are available for free. The studio has its own entrance and the possibility of parking. You can sit outside. Pets are allowed (max. 1). We charge € 25 per stay for taking your dog with you, to be paid in cash upon arrival. The studio is located in the same building where we live. The naturehouse is located on the edge of the fishing village Den Oever on the former island of Wieringen, and is only a few minutes' walk from the Wadden Sea (approx. 400 m). This unique nature reserve has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The beach is 25 km from here. Wieringen is a unique bird, hiking and cycling area. It was formed by glaciers in the penultimate ice age. The area is reminiscent of the Wadden Islands and is a bit hilly with beautiful alleys. Behind the dike you can see Texel on a clear day. There is also a forest. There is a characteristic fishing port in the village where you can eat fresh fish with french fries. There is a fish market on Saturdays. You can go mudflat hiking or sail a boat to spot the seals. In spring there are the tulip fields. Texel, Friesland, Den Helder, Hoorn, Medemblik, Enkhuizen and Alkmaar can be easily reached from here by bus or car.
