Ideal for large families or groups of friends, the unique, flexible accommodation is in two 17th century buildings, each with a living room, kitchen & dining room & outdoor cooking & dining areas. The properties are full of character and authentic French rustic charm, but are practical and well equipped, with modern conveniences using many sustainable solutions. The interiors are thoughtfully designed and to reduce our environmental impact, we source locally and sustainably or buy handcrafted and vintage. We strive to reduce our consumption of new, disposable items and support responsible companies that also operate sustainably. The huge private pool, in the beautiful grounds, is enclosed by walls of an old barn and for your exclusive use. There is a large lawn for games, the old barn has table tennis, bikes & equipment for badminton, bocce etc. Inside there is Fuss Ball, a pool table, darts, fitness equipment and a bar with refrigerator for you to stock up on drinks.

At the end of a quiet country road, deep in the heart of the countryside, the house is surrounded by fields of beautiful sunflowers and golden crops in summer. There are 2 other houses nearby, but privacy is ensured by walls, hedges and our large old barn enclosing the property. The courtyard overlooks the beautiful Charentaise countryside with its streams, forests and abundant wildlife. Because of its high elevation and low level of air pollution, the night sky is literally out of this world. Although it feels peaceful and secluded, you can bike to the local bakery for freshly baked bread and delicious pastries in the nearby small village (6 minutes by car). The nearest large supermarket and other essential amenities are 15 minutes away by car and there are plenty of interesting places to visit within an hour's drive if you want to go further afield. Hiking, biking, fishing and local fresh markets await you.
