A beautiful 4* gite that retains many original features and adjoins the main house. It offers two stylish bedrooms, each with with private shower room and WC. One has a double bed while the other has twin beds that can be made up as a superking, upon request, in advance. There is a modern, fully fitted kitchen with oven, microwave, induction hob and dishwasher and it also has a separate lounge diner and terrace with BBQ. All bed linen and towels are provided free of charge and breakfast is available upon request, in advance, at an additional cost of €7.50 per person per day. Taxe de séjour is payable on arrival at a cost of €1,32 per adult per night. Guests also have use of the beautiful grounds, heated swimming pool, games room and gym (for the over 16s).

The gite is situated in the tranquil hamlet of L'Arceau, just fifteen minutes from Cognac and Pons. The property is surrounded by vineyards and sunflower fields, perfect for nature lovers and cyclists, with its numerous cycle routes close by. It offers an ideal base from which to explore the historic local region with its pretty towns such as Jonzac, Cognac and Saintes, not forgetting beautiful La Rochelle and Bordeaux, each at just over an hour away. For water lovers the Atantic coast and its famous islands are within easy reach, as is the river Charente with its numerous activities. There is a plethora of attractions for fun days out such as the popular treasure hunt at the Chateau des Enigmes, the zoo at la Palmyre, Huertebise leisure park in Jonzac or the Grande Prairie Lake in Angouleme. Finally a visit here would not be complete without a visit to one of the local Cognac houses!
