Are you a nature lover looking for peace and quiet? You are most welcome in our yard! We offer our detached and thatched colony cottage. The cottage is simply furnished but fully equipped (bed and linen provided) and has a cozy rustic feel. The cottage has an entrance and a separate living room with French doors to the garden. The bedroom and kitchen are also separate rooms. The detached colony cottage is located at the back of our yard and offers an unobstructed view of the tree-lined meadows. And you will also find peace in our living environment. Boijl is surrounded by nature and borders the National Park the Drents Friese Wold. This unique area on the border of Friesland and Drenthe is a paradise for cyclists and hikers and our colony house is a wonderful base to explore this area. The Wieden and Weerribben (with Giethoorn) are easy to reach and so is National Park the Dwingelerveld. Boijl is also located 10 minutes from Frederiksoord where you can learn more about the story of the Colonies of Weldadigheid (Unesco World Heritage) and where ultimately the origin of our colony house lies.
