A small (30m²) and cozy cottage in our yard, recently converted from garage to Cabin. The nature house borders directly on National Park the Utrecht Ridge and is situated in a wealth of greenery. In the morning you wake up to an orchestra of birds and, depending on the season, you can spot deer and squirrels a short distance from the cottage. An ultimate place for the nature lover, active cyclist/hiker and birdwatcher. Or for a romantic weekend getaway with a glass of wine by the wood stove. The kitchenette has two hotplates and a large oven and is fully equipped with everything you need to cook and make coffee. There is also a refrigerator with a freezer compartment. There is also a small bathroom with shower, sink and toilet. Upstairs there is a comfortable double bed, a crib and plenty of closet space. The cottage is equipped with underfloor heating downstairs and a wood stove, so that even in winter it is comfortably warm. The cottage stands in a shared yard.

The nature house is located in one of the most beautiful places on the Utrecht Hill Ridge: on the edge of the historic village of Amerongen bordering the forest and overlooking the floodplains. A unique combination. The shared garden of the yard on which this cottage stands runs directly into the forest and from the other side overlooks the Amerongse Bovenpolder. In the immediate vicinity are dozens of beautiful hiking trails, bicycle routes and mountain bike trails. Further attractions in the village include Amerongen Castle, the medieval Andries Church and the tobacco growing museum. The village has a number of beautiful restaurants and terraces where you can lunch and dine from simple to very luxurious. Wandering around the old streets of the village is a delightful pastime an sich. A visit to one of the surrounding towns, dikes or many estates in this area is also worthwhile.
