Tulle

The capital of Corrèze is Tulle. The town stretches out over a length of 3 kilometres in the narrow valley of the Corrèze and was already named a bishop's town in 1317. From a gite near this city you can easily visit it. The city has suffered a lot during wars in the previous centuries, but very worthwhile are the cathedral, the old part of the city and the narrow alleys and beautiful stairs. The Cathedral of Notre-Dame is definitely worth a visit if you have a holiday home in the Corrèze. This cathedral dates from the 12th century and has a very nice bell tower. You can also enjoy the river Corrèze that flows through the city when you visit this city.
