Greece accommodation

Greece is a beautiful country, one of the oldest in Europe, which welcomes visitors with a distinctive mixture of nature, culture and activities to explore. The coast of Greece is its most prominent feature probably after its long history. Greece is located in Southern Europe and enjoys the waves of not one but four different seas – the Aegean, the Ionian, the Cretan and the Mediterranean. The beaches on all of them are exceptional, however the inner parts are also worth your time!

Book your accommodation in Greece through nature.house and enjoy the stunning sceneries of the rocky Greek land. The accommodation is situated in beautiful rural areas among vivid nature and away from noisy cities and busy tourist hotspots. You will surely enjoy your time exploring the national parks, mountains or hundreds of square kilometers of vineyards and orchards scattered all around the country.

Nature as rich as the history of Greece

When you travel to Greece, you will probably spend a significant amount of time exploring all of the historical and archaeological monuments. Therefore, you need to be very specific with regards to what you want to visit. Truth be told, Greece has remarkable natural characteristics and it would be very hard to try and see everything. Thus, planning and concentrating on a few places to visit is your best strategy.

Mount Olympus is one of the must-visits according to our team. This national park will ensure you get your blood pumping, while distracting you with the gorgeous panoramas from the path to the peak. Although the peak is the star of the show, there are also many streams and waterfalls which will definitely contribute to a wonderful experience on your way up.

Greece is also very famous for its islands and we cannot miss to mention them. Crete is one of the biggest of them and provides a chance for visitors to enjoy beautiful beach areas as well as the inside of the island with its beautiful architecture and rich cultural heritage. Kefalonia is another favorite of ours – part of an Ionian archipelago. There is a mystic cave there called Melissani which has a unique underground lake situated 20 meters below the sea level. The cave is also the birthplace of many myths, including the supposed sanctuary place for the Melissani nymphs.

Activities to enjoy

Watersports of any kind are one of the most favorite activities around Greece. The islands in the Mediterranean offer the more adrenaline-boosting ones, while scuba diving and snorkeling are more popular in the calmer seas.

Hiking and trekking have basically become a national sport here. The islands of Corfu and Ikaria offer some of the most amazing trails we have ever experienced. If you prefer to stick to the continental parts of Greece, the Peloponnese region is locals’ favorite, especially the Viros Gorge area.

For a unique experience head to the region of Epirus. Petrino Dasos is an enchanting forest like no other. This is in fact a stone forest with structures of karst limestone. From the Oxia viewpoint you can get the best panorama to the whole forest and the surrounding Epirus territory.
