A beautiful chalet in the middle of nature, overlooking Mont Blanc, in a rustic Swiss village, surrounded by an array of hiking trails.... That's this nature house! Our vacation home is the last chalet in the village and can only be reached on foot. The car can be parked 300 meters away for free. At the chalet there is a wheelbarrow which can also be used to carry luggage. The chalet has a spacious south-facing terrace with breathtaking, unobstructed views of Mont Blanc. The terrace has two large tables that can seat six people each. Around the chalet is a large private yard. The book and game closet in the living room contains entertainment for the whole family. Also here are tourist information and detailed hiking maps. Television and internet are not available. By the way, there is WiFi at Café Central in Finhaut.

Giétroz is originally a farming village, where the authentic atmosphere has been preserved. In nearby Finhaut ( 7 minutes by car, 35 minutes on foot) are a small supermarket, post office, ATM and a few café-restaurants. For an active vacation, Giétroz is a wonderful base, from which several hiking trails can be started. There are hikes for every level: from flat trails for families with small children to hut tours for experienced hikers. The Tour du Mont Blanc can also be started from here. Through Giétroz runs the funicular, at 87% the steepest mountain train in the world, ending at 2000 meters at the foot of the dam of the Emosson reservoir. Emosson is a wonderful starting point for many trips toward France (refuge de Loriaz) and Valais, including the Tour des Dents-du-Midi.
