Our nature house in Jisp, near the Zaanse Schans, is located behind our converted farmhouse. The cottage is suitable for 2 persons and is equipped with many conveniences. With your own key, which you will receive upon arrival, you can always go inside. So you have complete freedom during your stay. In the vicinity of our nature house you can enjoy cycling, hiking, boating, fishing, photography, bird watching etc. Would you prefer more inhabited world, then places like Wormer, Purmerend and Zaandam are nearby. Larger places like Amsterdam, Haarlem, Alkmaar and Hoorn are also within a radius of 25 km. Tourist attractions such as the Zaanse Schans (8 km), Volendam / Edam (17 km) as well as the North Sea coast (23 km) can be reached in no time. From the cottage or the private terrace you have an unobstructed view of the Wormer and Jisperveld nature reserve. You can do many things in and around Jisp, but also relax. You are 'Welcome

The village of Jisp is centrally located in the province of North Holland, under the smoke of Amsterdam, 5 minutes drive from the A7. Jisp is part of the municipality of Wormerland and is located in the Zaan region. Long ago, Jisp was one of the most important places for whaling and was nominated to become the capital of the Netherlands. Nowadays Jisp is a small village with over 700 inhabitants. The Town Hall from 1650, the Reformed Church and the road ditch with boenwalls are some of the attractions. The special landscape also attracts visitors to the village. Jisp is located in the nature reserve Wormer- and Jisperveld. From our nature house you have an unobstructed view of this beautiful area. The Wormer and Jisperveld is about 2500 hectares in size. It consists of canals, ditches, reed beds and hundreds of small islands with peat soil. Because of the many greenery, tranquility and space, many (species of) birds breed here, the area is also known for its wealth of birds.
