The nature house is in a rural location on the outskirts of the village. The apartment is located at the back of the house on the second floor. You have your own access to the apartment, you enter through the workshop/kitchen ( for guests) of the house. A staircase in this room gives access to the apartment on the second floor. The apartment in the house is located on the former island of Wieringen. Within walking distance from the Wadden Sea and from the center of Hippolytushoef. In Hippolytushoef are several facilities, including some supermarkets and eateries. Wieringen is very suitable for hiking and cycling. At Stroe, 2 km, you will find a picking garden; a little further you will find the Island Museum Jan Lont and the "Heidense Kapel". In Oosterland there is a Romanesque church: 'an innovative home for life questions and an inspiring stage'. Concerts and exhibitions are organized here. 6 km away is the Amstelmeer with swimming and surfing facilities. From Den Oever, 6 km, sailing trips on the Wadden are organized and Wadlopen. Every Saturday morning the Zeeverse Fish Market is held in Den Oever, also stalls with local products. The North Sea beach is half an hour away. From Den Helder there is a ferry service to Texel.
