In the middle of the forests of Gaasterland lies this small but fine forest cottage! In a beautiful location near the IJsselmeer and the Frisian lakes. The cottage is pure, and surrounded by a large plot of private forest. A place where you immediately feel at home, and wake up in the morning in an oasis of peace. Also for children there are toys - sandbox - bikes and a forest like garden to play in. There is also a high chair and camp bed available. The cottage is suitable for 1 to 5 people. The stairs upstairs are steep though. We do not charge a deposit but we do assume that you leave it neat and tidy. In 2024 there will be some changes to The Cabin so that it is even more comfortable. The roof will be renewed with authentic red tiles and inside a wood stove. There will also be a roof so that sitting outside is even more enjoyable.

Our nature house is located in the middle of the woods, close to the cliffs and beaches of the IJsselmeer. The Frisian lakes are also a short distance away. Many walking and cycling through the beautiful forests and meadows of Gaasterland. Within walking distance of Oudemirdum including a butcher, chemist, bakery, supermarket, restaurants and bike rental.
