For example, you can cross-country ski on several routes in the neighborhood and several ski resorts are easy to drive to for a day of skiing. The town of Stjärnsfors is the former center of the industrial activities of the once gigantic Uddeholms Bolaget in the 18th and 19th centuries. Although the industrial activities have completely disappeared, there are many old remains, many of which are visible and sometimes hidden in the landscape.
