The Nijhuizumer hiker's huts has opportunities to spend the night in hiker's huts. The two hiker's huts (each for four people) are located on the open waterway with a beautiful view of the farmlands and the lake, the Oudegaaster Brekken. Everyone who wants peace and quiet on their passage is welcome here. The cabins are fully equipped for a maximum of 4 persons. There are 2 bunk beds equipped with mattresses and pillows, a dining table and 4 chairs. There is also a simple cooking facility and possibly heating. Behind the hiker's huts is a sanitary building/unit with a shower and toilet.

(Frisian: Nijhuzum) is a village in the municipality of Súdwest-Fryslân, in the Dutch province of Friesland. Nijhuizum is located southeast of Bolsward, between Workum and the Vlakke Brekken and the Bombrekken. The village center is connected via the Nijhuizumervaart and De Grons directly to the Vlakke Brekken. Along the village area flows the Lange Vliet, and the village also has a small mooring port. In 2021, the village had 55 inhabitants. Nijhuizum is a regional village where dairy farming and tourism/recreation play an important role, with three campsites. The village can be reached by land only over the Nijhuzumerdijk, with which the main road on which the village is located is dead-end on both sides.
