Our nature house is located in the back of our yard and gives the feeling of living in the middle of the meadows. Three large windows give a unique panorama of our neighbors' organic pastures. Views of cows, sheep and goats walking by and clouds changing: a living painting! The wood & loam house is separate from the main house and has its own garden and outdoor seating area. The cottage is built with sustainable and reused materials. The walls are lined with loam, which makes it very peaceful and cozy inside. The cottage has its own bathroom and kitchenette. When you arrive, the bed is made for you and bath and kitchen linen are waiting for you in the cupboards. For the cold days there is a lovely wood stove (wood included). Just for the hot days there is a nice cold outdoor shower and place for a hammock under our big cherry tree.

The Achterhoek is beautiful! From the cottage you can spot many species of birds and sometimes deer. It is nice to stay here. Or go out: the Achterhoekse coulisse landscape lends itself well to making beautiful cycling and walking tours, maps of which are available in the cottage. For a nice walk in the woods you can go to Het Zand nature reserve. In the cozy village center of Zelhem, which is 5 km away, you will find several stores, supermarkets, restaurants and cafes. Or get your groceries at our neighbor's organic farm store which is open on Fridays and Saturdays. Nearby, you could visit Bronkhorst, the smallest town in the Netherlands. Or discover the castle in Ruurlo or the beautiful old Hanseatic city of Zutphen. Leaflets with more inspiration we have ready for you in the cottage.
