It is located near a junction route for cycling and hiking. 9.4 km away is the cultural and tourist town of Ootmarsum and 12 km away is the shopping town of Nordhorn. Denekamp is also nearby at a distance of 8 km. There are several nature reserves nearby: In the backyard is the Lower Dinkel Valley. The Dinkel valley follows the course of the river De Dinkel. Here lies a unique meadow bird area The Ottershagen. Further away is De Bergvennen, Het Springendal, Singraven, Bad Bentheim and Het Lutterzand.
