The nature house is located on a spacious farm (no longer in operation) in the Achterhoek. Here you can have a wonderful time, sitting outside with a cup of coffee or red wine overlooking the free-range chickens and the meadow. Garden furniture is available so you can read a nice book in the summer months, light the BBQ or a fire basket. We have space near the nature house to store your bikes and any electric bikes can be charged at our place. The chalet has fine Auping boxprings, a sink with toilet, you can use the shower and washing machine in the shower building. In addition, our farm shop with eggs from chickens, homemade jams and sweet and sour. Also here is the BBQ and garden fire which can be rented. Beds are made upon arrival. Aalten and its surroundings is a beautiful undiscovered part of the Achterhoek. You can make beautiful walks and cycling trips just across the border. Region Winterswijk with its beautiful hamlet 't Woold is definitely recommended. Dinxperlo is a border village which is half Dutch and half German (Süderwick). Book town Bredevoort is definitely worth visiting, with beautiful nature at the Slingeplas and further towards Winterswijk the Korenburgerveen and Vragenderveen. Winterswijk also has a stone quarry where an eagle owl pair has young every year.
