With 3 national parks, the province of Drenthe is an excellent choice for a vacation among nature. At about 8 km you can go to the Unesco World Heritage Site "Company of Weldadigheid" in Frederiksoord with museum the Proefkolonie and a visit to the old horticultural school. Overijssel At a distance of about 8 km is the beautiful National Park Weerribben-Wieden and the beautiful village of Giethoorn. Definitely worth a day to rent a boat or canoe and explore the area.
