A quiet, comfortable and spacious halve of an old typically Dutch farmhouse (1870), with private entrance. On the groundfloor is a large living/dining room with plenty of natural light. Also on the groundfloor is a simple kitchen (induction cooker for two pans, microwave and mini-fridge) and a modern bathroom (shower, sink and toilet). Via a ladder-type stairs with bannister, you reach the attic bedroom with a double-bed (130x190cm, high quality mattress). In the downstairs living room is a sofa-bed, which can be very easily transformed into a comfortable 115x200cm bed. Therefore, this house is ideally suitable for two people who like to sleep close together, or who prefer to sleep in seperate beds. The house is less suitable for small children, due to the steep stairs to the attic. There is also a seperate private lawn area with two chairs and table. This house is a short driving distance from AmsteSchiphol Airport (35 min/40km). It is located in the middle of the Green Heart of Holland, surrounded by green fields, water and silence. It is ideal for hiking, cycling and bird watchers. But it is also perfect if you need some days to work, write, think or relax. The nearby Reeuwijkse Plassen are popular for swimming and a short distance by bicycle. The house is situated in the UNESCO world-heritage "Frontiers of the Roman Empire – The Lower German Limes". It is directly located on the long-distance hiking trail the Limespad (LAW16) en 3,5 km from LAW 7 (Pilgrims Trail). Despite the quiet en remote location of the house, all major Dutch cities are nearby: The Hague (35km), Utrecht (30km), Rotterdam (30km) and Amsterdam (45 km). Bodegraven train station is 4km, from where regular trains depart to Leiden (22 mins) and Utrecht (19mins).
