Springer Garden opens the gate:Tucked away at the end of a tree-lined road in Laren is this nature house. The present house dates from 1939 to the design of architect D. de Kam. The country house designed in 1914 by architect Bert Johan Ouëndag has fallen prey to fire twice. The estate was founded in 1916. The current owner is opening up the special historic Springer garden through the vacation home. The garden design is a fine example of the so-called mixed garden style, a style that was applied in the period 1860-1930, which combines the landscape style with the regular structures of the formal style. The original garden drawing is preserved in the University of Wageningen as well as the planting list. That this historic garden still exists is special because most such gardens have disappeared. Being able to live in and with a sun garden creates awareness of what a garden does to you and who ultimately takes care of whom.

The garden is located on the heath of Laren as a nature reserve where countless beautiful walks and bike rides in nature can be made. Beautiful bike and walking tours are mapped out or available on location and are made of Gooi and vecht for the entire area . When booking may use the entire gardens on the estate including the tennis courts and wellness complex. The wellness complex is open daily for guests on the estate, between 18.00-20.00 hours. This use is shared with the other 2 vacation homes on the estate (6-person villa and 4-person cottage).
