Stay in our authentic chalet, near the forest! Great starting point for hiking or biking. After a day in nature, unwind in our cozy cottage -without WIFI-! In fine weather you can bbq outside and eat at the picnic table. On cold evenings you warm up inside by the wood stove. There is a sitting area with TV, DVD and CD player. A dining area for 4 people, a kitchenette with electric stove and small microwave. Coffee can be made with a Nespresso or press coffee. The bathroom has a bath/shower, toilet, sink and hairdryer. There is 1 bedroom with a double bed + double comforter, 1 bedroom with a bunk bed +2 comforters. Toilet paper, kitchen roll, washing-up liquid, kitchen linen, oil and spices are provided. You bring your own sheets, bath towels, coffee or tea! In 15 minutes you can walk to the village of Oignies, where there is a butcher, grocer and eatery. For the children there are ping-pong balls and petanque balls. Hiking maps and a folder with info are waiting for you!

Our chalet is located in a small vacation park, where there is a small playground and some animals. Possibility to play ping-pong and petanque. Oignies-en-Thiérache belongs to the municipality of Viroinval, which includes 8 picturesque villages. It is part of the Viroin-Hermeton Natural Park, known for its many gorges, limestone hills and endless forests. The French border is nearby. Along the Meuse you can go cycling or visit one of the numerous towns. (Fumay, Givet, Hastière, Dinant) Also Fondry des Chiens, the caves of Neptune, the steam train in Mariembourg or walking with the donkeys in Treignes ...are worth it! Your stay will be too short to discover everything!
