This Nature House is a luxury B&B and writing retreat. It is a place, where there is peace, where there is space, and the view is beautiful. Room, "Kandel" is specially equipped for people who want to work on a (writing) job undisturbed and comfortable. There are good office chairs behind two sit-stand desks and there is a (curved 32-inch) monitor that can be connected to your laptop. "Hermanje" exudes a totally different atmosphere and is more generally intended for people who come for peace, space and views. You cannot cook in my B&B (it is a B&B), but there is a quooker, a nespresso machine, a small refrigerator and a microwave to warm something up. Also, within biking distance (bikes can be borrowed) are several restaurants that provide good and affordable meals. In principle I serve breakfast in your room. If desired, but depending on the situation of the moment, I serve breakfast in our living kitchen.

This nature house is located in the outskirts of Lievelde in the Achterhoek. Cars passing in front of our farm have to be at our place, or at our neighbors at the last address on the dike. The main road to Groenlo is only accessible for cyclists and walkers. You can walk here (the nature reserve "Koolmansdijk" is literally around the corner). Traditionally there are church paths here, narrow paths between meadows, along which the inhabitants walked from the large outlying area to the daily mass. Several hiking trails have been set out along these church paths. From the B&B you can walk entirely unpaved to Zieuwent and beyond, or back again. Bicycles (you may borrow) can also be used. The field cross at the beginning of our dike is for example on the cycling route "Along Churches, Crosses and Chapels" and is one of many. You can laze around in the orchard (bring your own hammock), or -with a little luck- watch the deer in the evening and/or morning twilight.
