The house was originally an old inn, located on the road El Perello - Tortosa. A few years ago we had a part restored and a new part was built. We have water from a balsa ( this is an underground water tank, filled with rainwater ) of 20,000 liters. Although this seems like a lot, we use water sparingly. Electricity has recently reached 220 volts, thanks to two solar panels, which produce a total of 800 watts. The excess power goes to batteries. All this is enough to have lights, charge cell phones and laptops etc. Once the power runs out, it's waiting for the next day's sun. Cooking, hot water, barbecue we do on butane or propane gas. Empty gas cans you change for a fee at a Repsol gas station. So the house is pretty much self-sufficient in terms of energy. But frugality is definitely recommended.

About 180 km below Barcelona you will find the nice coastal town of L'Ampolla. From the center it is about a 25-minute drive to the house. The road passes endless olive groves. The house is tucked away in our own property of about 65000 square meters. The nearest neighbor lives 300 meters away. The property is not fenced, so please do not let your dogs run loose. From the house you have a view of the Ebro Delta and the coast. Here you can still enjoy a starry sky at night. You can also enjoy peace and quiet at any time of the day. Because the house is located in a protected nature reserve, we can not place a pool. But cooling enough on the beaches of El Perello and L'Ampolla.
